Electrical Industries reopens 2 factories in Dammam Industrial City II

Electrical Industries Co. (EIC) reopened its 2 factories, Saudi Power Transformers Co. and Cable Trays Factory, in Dammam Industrial City II at full capacity.

The decision falls in line with the directives of the government to ease movement in all cities except Makkah from 6am to 8pm, from May 31 until June 20, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Monday.

EIC added that it is presently difficult to assess the financial impact of the updated measures, pointing out that it will be reflected on Q2 2020 results.

Last week, Saudi Arabia said it would end its coronavirus curfew and ease movement restrictions in three phases starting from May 31, Argaam reported.

Early in May, EIC announced the temporary shutdown of 2 factories in Dammam Industrial City II, in line with the government’s precautionary measures to isolate the Industrial City II in Dammam and prevent entries or exits
