Leejam closes all sports centers in Saudi Arabia for 10 days

Leejam Sports Co. (Fitness Time) announced that all its sports centers in Saudi Arabia will be closed as of 10 pm today, Feb. 4, 2021, for a period of 10 days, which might be extended.

The company said in a bourse statement that it is in the process of evaluating the financial impact of the closure of its centers.

Leejam will make announcements about any further developments in this regard in due course.

Meanwhile, the company will continue, through various means of communication, to raise fitness and wellness awareness and encourage exercising from home.

According to data compiled by Argaam, Saudi Ministry of Interior suspended all events and parties, including weddings, corporate meetings and the like, in banquet halls and independent wedding halls or affiliated with hotels, as well as in rental rest houses and camps that are used for those purposes, for a period of 30 days.

Moreover, cinemas, indoor entertainment centers, independent indoor games places or in restaurants, shopping malls, gyms and sports centers, were also halted for an extendable period of 10 days.
