Tanmiah expands chicken processing, hatchery capacity

Tanmiah Food Co. announced refurbishing and upgrading its primary processing facility at Al Majmaah, north of Riyadh, which will see the addition of 90,000 birds per day, thus boosting the total daily capacity to 420,500 birds, after the net rental capacity, according to a bourse statement.  
 

The company also expanded the egg set capacity of its Haradh facility by 36 million to reach 197 million annually. This aims to support the expansion of Tanmiah’s broiler farms. 
 

Al Majmaah processing plant is a modern and refurbished facility that will provide consumers with healthy, nutritious and delicious protein of the highest standards. Commercial production is scheduled to start from July 2022. 
 

With a production capacity of 90,000 birds per day, the facility is the company’s fourth poultry processing plant and its topnotch expansion project. 
 

Tanmiah increased its farming capacity, distribution network and channel mix. The company plans to expand its output in further processing, feed milling and other segments as it executes its strategy to increase market share, create further operational efficiencies and economies of scale, whilst continuing to play a critical role in supporting the government’s national self-sufficiency target of 80% in poultry, under Vision 2030.
