Abdulaziz Al-Arifi appointed as Shareek program CEO

The Major Companies Investments Committee, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, issued a decision appointing Abdulaziz Al-Arifi as CEO of Shareek program.

Al-Arifi obtained a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Babson College, Massachusetts. He also holds a Master's degree in business administration from Stanford University, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Furthermore, Al-Arifi has leadership and practical experience in the public and private sectors. Having previously held the Assistant Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and CFO at Jadwa Investment Co. positions, he currently works as an advisor to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

Al-Arifi worked as treasury manager of  Saudi National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri). This is in addition to holding several positions in the Capital Market Authority (CMA), the last of which was being in charge of the inclusion of the financial and investment sector. He also served as member of several boards of directors in various sectors.

On March 30, 2021, the Crown Prince launched the Shareek program to strengthen public-private partnerships. It is also aimed to support Saudi companies and enable them to access local investments worth SAR 5 trillion by the end of 2030, according to Argaam's data.
