The number of workers in Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector increased by 5% year-on-year (YoY) to approximately 959,200 workers in Q2 2024, data released by the General Authority for Statistics revealed.
The number of Saudi workers rose 2% YoY to 245,910 during the quarter, representing 25.6% of the total workforce in the sector.

The food and beverages sector accounted for the largest number of workers in Q2 2024, with approximately 644,800 workers, representing 67.2% of the total, followed by accommodation with about 124,000 workers.
