Executives at Savola, al-Tayyar, Red Sea Housing were the highest paid in 2013 Argaam’s data

Executives at Saudi companies Savola Group, al-Tayyar Travel Group Holding Co. and Red Sea Housing Services Co. were the highest paid among Saudi listed companies’ officials last year, according to data compiled by Argaam which are based on disclosed information.

Abdul Rauf Manna, CEO of Savola Group, a food conglomerate which owns the Middle East’s biggest sugar refinery operations, topped the list, making SAR 23.1 million in 2013, or up by SAR 5.3 million from the previous year.

Nasser al-Tayyar, vice chairman and managing director of al-Tayyar, a tourism company with global operations, came second, earning SAR 15.5 million last year.

Don Brown Sumner, CEO of Red Sea Housing which manufactures modular commercial and residential buildings, was the third-highest paid, making SAR 11.3 million in salary and bonuses in 2013, or SAR 1.7 million more than the previous year.

The list reflects information publicly available by companies which provide detailed figures on their executives’ pay. Other firms which provide only total pay for their board of directors are not included in Argaam report.
