US-based Xponential Fitness to open female-only studios in Saudi Arabia

Xponential Fitness, the largest American curator of fitness brands, has signed a master franchise agreement to open more than 50 female-only studios in Saudi Arabia over the next three years, the company said on Wednesday.

The development will be led by Sultan and Mohammed Alhokair, owners of the newly-established First Agility Company. It is set to launch five-brand flagships in October 2019. 

Xponential brands included in the development agreement are Club Pilates, Pure Barre, CycleBar, YogaSix, AKT, and Stride.

"This is an ambitious and unprecedented fitness project for the Middle East, as the Saudi fitness market is poised for significant growth,” said John Kersh, Chief International Development Officer of Xponential Fitness.

California-headquartered Xponential has over 1,500 studios across eight brands, and is set to expand further outside the United States.
